Fire Resistant Coating for Cable - Professional Cable Fire Protection Solution
Henan Banggu's Fire resistant coating for cable can help you protect your important cable system. Engineered by people with more than 30 years of experience making coatings, our wire fire protection system has great fire resistance for more than 90 minutes at temperatures up to 1200°C. When this special material comes in contact with flames, it quickly grows into a thick layer of carbonised insulation that stops the fire from spreading to power lines, control cables, and phone systems. Our fire-resistant covering for cable meets international standards and keeps the cable's flexibility and electrical performance. It has an FV-0 flame retardant grade, great adhesion (Grade 1), and an ultra-low VOC content (≤25g/L for luxury formulas).
Why Choose Our Fire Resistant Coating for Cable?
Proven Fire Protection Performance
During fire situations, your wires are in great danger. Advanced intumescent technology in our covering makes it a reliable defence. When the temperature gets too high, the coating quickly grows, making a thermal barrier that keeps the wires safe from fires and very high temperatures.
This isn't just a guess. The method has been shown to work: the fire resistance lasts more than 90 minutes, and the flame spread ratio is -25. In a disaster, your power systems and important connections stay on when seconds count.
Safe, Environmental, and Compliant
You need goods that keep people safe and follow the rules. Our water-based formulas are safe to use and don't smell bad when they're applied. They are completely safe for hospitals, schools, office towers, and factories once they have dried out.
The ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 marks are on file with us. Our goods meet the requirements of GB 28374-2012 and have CE certification for use in foreign projects. You get all the paperwork you need for fire safety checks and project acceptance, like test results and certificates of conformity.
Easy Application, Lasting Results
Installation doesn't need any special tools. Like regular paint, you can use a brush, roller, or spray to apply it. It only takes one to two hours for the surface to dry, and 24 hours for the whole layer to fix. Short building times mean that your project schedule will be less affected.
Because the layer is only 0.5 to 1 mm thick, the thin-film design won't make wire trays heavier or less flexible. Your wires will still work fine because their insulation and ability to carry electricity will not change.

Applications Across Industries
Our fire resistant coating for cable serves diverse sectors where fire safety is non-negotiable:

High-rise offices, hotels, shopping malls, and hospitals are all examples of commercial buildings where cable towers and shafts need to be protected.
Industrial Facilities: These include power plants, substations, and factories that have large networks of power and control cables.
Infrastructure projects include subways, tunnels and transportation hubs where fire alarms must still work during fires.
Telecommunications: Data centers and other telecom facilities keep important communication lines and network equipment safe.
Use on power lines, control cables, telecommunications cables and cable trays to protect your whole building from fire.

FAQ
Q1: What is cable fireproof coating used for?
A: In cables, cable trays, and cable trenches, it expands when heated to provide a thermal barrier, preventing wires from catching fire and halting flames, assuring emergency power and illumination.
Q2: Which standards apply?
A: Standards: GB 28374-2012 "Fire-Retardant Coating for Cables." The test reports make it appropriate for fire safety inspections.
Q3: Water-based or solvent-based?
A: Non-toxic, low-odor, eco-friendly, safe to apply, and non-flammable, water-based is the standard.

Q4: What is the fire-retardant mechanism?
A: Upon fire contact, it immediately foams and spreads to produce a strong thermal barrier, retarding wire combustion, isolating oxygen, and suppressing smoke.
Q5: How many coatings and how long do they dry?
A: Two to three coats till desired thickness. One–two hours to dry. 24-hour cure. Coat interval: ≥4 hours.
