- Product Description
Protect Your Steel Infrastructure with Premium Low-Emission Fire Protection
For big steel building projects, you need more than just basic fire safety. You need a system that has been used before. When mixed with water, our Fireproof Coating for Steel Structures low VOC keeps VOC levels at ≤120g/L and provides enterprise-grade fire resistance for up to 1.4 hours at temperatures reaching 950°F. The coating's bonding strength is at least 0.15 MPa, and its compressive strength is at least 0.3 MPa. It protects steel beams, columns, and trusses reliably in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. With more than 30 years of experience making coatings and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, Henan Banggu Fire Technology can give you a solution that is light, dries quickly, and lasts more than 7 years.
Why Choose Our Low VOC Steel Structure Fire Protection?
Fire Performance You Can Trust
When there is a fire, your steel buildings are in grave danger.
Our intumescent covering grows very quickly when it comes in contact with flames, creating a thick layer of carbonised protection. This barrier makes it take longer for heat to move to the steel base, which keeps the structure from deforming or falling apart.
For thin-type uses, the fire protection ranges from 0.5 to 3 hours. Our thick-type formulas offer heavy-duty defence against fire for 2 to 6 hours.
As long as the heat conductivity stays below 0.12 W/(m·K), the shielding works as well as it can.
Safe and good for the environment
Your team and your image depend on you staying safe.
There are few volatile organic molecules in this product. The VOC levels in water-based versions stay at ≤120g/L and those in solvent-based versions stay at ≤650g/L. Both levels are within the limits set by international environmental standards.
Workers or people who live in the building won't be exposed to dangerous fumes.
The tests for toxins showed that our product is low-toxic and doesn't have a bad smell. It is approved by the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, so hospitals, schools, shopping stores, and office buildings can use it.

Easy to Use, Beautiful Finish
When you're building something, time is money.
The top layer of our finish is dry in just 50 to 60 minutes, and the whole thing is fully set in 12 to 24 hours. You can spray it on, brush it on, or roll it on, based on what you need to do.
The 3–50 mm thin layer thickness cuts down on the amount of material used and the load on the structure. You can get a smooth, professional look with the different colour choices.
Standard colours are white and light grey. If you need colours that match your building's style, you can ask for them to be made just for you.
Strength and durability that have been proven
Your money should last.
This layer sticks well to steel surfaces (bonding strength ≥0.15 MPa) and doesn't crack or peel. Water resistance tests are done every 72 hours to make sure it works well for a long time, even in damp indoor spaces.
Under normal situations, the service life is longer than 7 years. If you use it the right way on treated surfaces, it won't crack, peel, or powder.
Once the Fireproof Coating for Steel Structures low VOC is completely dry, you can add a suitable finish to make it look better and protect it even more.
Support for all technical issues
During assembly and review, you won't be by yourself.

Before you buy, we'll help you choose the right product for your steel structure's specs and fire rating needs. Technical documents like test results and approval files are free to get from our team.
You get standard installation instructions and online help 24 hours a day, seven days a week while the building is being built.
After the application, we help with the paperwork for acceptance and setting up the fire safety check. For difficult jobs, our senior engineers offer custom building solutions and check the accuracy of thickness calculations.

FAQ
Q1: How does intumescent coating work?
A: Intumescent coating foams and expands quickly when exposed to fire. It resists heat and flames with a strong carbonised insulation layer. This delays steel temperature rise, preventing premature structural collapse during a fire. Maintaining structural integrity, you meet fire resistance requirements.
Q2: How do solvent-based and water-based versions differ?
A: Solvent-based coatings dry quicker, adhere better, repel water, and increase hardness. Projects demanding speed and durability benefit from them. Though slower to dry, water-based variants are greener and odourless. Your option relies on project timeframe, environmental sensitivity, and performance.

Q3: What requirements does this coating meet?
A: The national standard "Fireproof Coatings for Steel Structures" is met by our product. Official fire safety checks are possible with its national fire protection product test reports. We have ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 quality, environmental, and safety certifications.
Q4: How do I determine fire rating thickness?
A: According to test reports, 0.5-hour protection requires 1.5mm thickness, 1.0-hour 1.5–2.2mm, 1.5–3.3mm, and 2.0–4.5mm. For correct steel section and project estimates, use certified test results.
Q5: Can outdoor steel constructions utilise this coating?
A: The product is only for indoor usage. UV- and weather-resistant outdoor-grade intumescent or non-intumescent fire-retardant coatings are needed. Ask our technical staff for project-specific outdoor product recommendations.
